Ritual for Protection and Footing with Azael

This is a sacred ritual for protection from sorcery, negativity, and La Regla de Ocha by Azael. It involves candles, utmost precaution should be taken to ensure safe use of flame. Any flammable materials should be stored far away from the ritual site, a water bucket to put out any fires in an emergency should be on hand nearby and the candles should be closely monitored.

Practice this ritual at your own risk, this is not for children.

Christians call this Gnosticism.

You can throw a teaspoon of Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare, known for its feathery foliage and licorice-like flavor) and Black Mustard Seeds (Brassica nigra) and Poppy Seeds (Papaver somniferum) out of the back door of the domicile to enhance privacy.

Six (6) green candles placed in the form of a hexagram on a tile or sheet of tinfoil on a table; each candle secured to a base.

Splash a tablespoon of ordinary water or rose water in the center of the candles.

A clean glass of ordinary water blessed with the sign of the cross twice with the left hand onsite. Put a dash of natural salt in the glass of water and place the glass in the center of the hexagram of candles in the small pool of water.

Make the sign of the cross over the altar and yourself once complete.

Burn some cedar to smudge the ritual platter and yourself. Once you are done smudging, speak: "I burn this cedar for Azael" relight the cedar and hold the cedar in your hand while you safely light the candles in order laid out below. Treat the cedar and its smoke like a drinking fountain for the ethereal world, respect it. If you don't have cedar you could get a can of Root Beer soda and speak: "I drink this with Azael" and drink the can of soda. You could also burn some Bay Leaves (Laurus nobilis)) or Copal incense in a similar fashion. Stay away from burning Palo Santo.

Be grateful and calm, don't rush the ritual.

Light the candles from top middle, to bottom right, top left, bottom middle, top right, bottom left; as each candle is lit, speaking the name Azael (rhymes with 'a seal') careful not reach over a lit candle.

Speak: "Yet never so sure thine own heaven to create, as when it touched the brink of all that I hate."

Let the candles burn out naturally and dispose of the water respectfully the next day, preferably in living water.

Never light anything off of a candle used in ritual. Cleanse all instruments such as tea light cups in cold running water before disposing of them properly.
If you have to put out any candle it is best to snuff the candle out, rather than blow the candle out.
