The Grimace
Remiss, there once was a great Christian Emperor of The Rus. He crusaded across the lands for Christendom
and defeated false Islam, which was plaguing the countryside preying on innocents. He returned to his place
of origin to find Turkish invaders had taken over the village surrounding his castle and the windmill there
used for pummeling grain.
"My people will starve!" He exclaimed as he trampled through the city gates on horseback with his army of
Temple Knights from The Crusades. "Ask a King!" A squire responds. "I am the Emperor!" The Emperor said.
"Oh, Emperor." Responded the squire. "Flee these lands. Go! Go now, Son of Adam; go with God." The Emperor
replied as The Emperor galloped off into the distance, The Emperor's face twisted in agony, into obscurity.
He left The Legion to fortify the city and began on foot towards the clergy dropping pieces of armor as he
went. He found the priests quite jovial in their nature, speaking Turkish words, alone by their private well
with a modest harem of concubines, behind the stone monastery, and he began inquiries about what had
happened to his dominion, while still removing pieces of his armor!
"The Turks! Why didn't you stop them?" The Emperor demanded.
The single-most plumpest, shortest, and baldest priest of them all belched out, "We tried to stop them, but
by the time we heard word of our guest's arrival they had breeched the city gates. Walked right in as
derelicts in rags. The Squire called on the bowmen and asked what to do in absence of The Emperor. The
bowmen called on the castle guards and asked what to do in absence of The Emperor. The castle guards called
to the prince..." The drunkard said. "...And the prince, ran to the clergy." A Turkish prostitute said
bringing floral rose water from the city well to pour on the priests feet as they lay drunk sprawled out,
desecrated in filth.
"And the clergy, to the Magi." The tallest priest among them, continued with the story. The Emperor's eyes
welted with tears as he removed the last bits of armor. "And the Magi, what did that sorcerer, do?" The
absent Emperor inquired in disbelieve. "The Magi called to the Emperor's wife in her chambers." The
drunkest, second from the tallest priest said, adding "..Your Highness."
The Emperor had removed all his armor and stood bare as the day he was born before this drunken, orgiastic
mob. "And my wife?! What did THE WIFE of The Emperor of this beautiful Kingdom demand of an army; against
the Turkish horde of invaders fornicating the countryside, to do, instead of give up our lands?" Picking up
his sword, now. The grimace settled and fell away, degraded into the normal face of The Emperor and all the
while the clergy began to recognize him and seemed to grow more excited as they did, with snickering,
devilish laughter of fiends all around him.
"YOUR wife?" All the clergy respond, in symphony, recognizing the knight before them. "Your WIFE? Well, she
remained in your chambers, of course!" "...Awaiting your return!" They cried out. "Awaiting your return!"
"MY apologies." Falling over themselves now. "My apologies, Emperor!" As they collected their things.
"And MY wife?" Cried out the, now nude, Emperor. "Who did my wife call upon in this imbecilic procession; to
which forfeit my family's reign?"
To which a young Turkish prostitute girl replied to, The Emperor who wore no clothes:
"All apologies,
Sir Nobel Knight. Our wife was fucking the dog."
